A bandicoot living in a hole underneath,
Eating roots, shoots, bulbs and turnip.
Had never seen the world above the ground,
Unaware of things like wind, sun and moon.
Eating roots and sleeping in the soft earth
Is what filled him with joy and mirth.
One day however he came out of his hole
Marveled at the green grass and the globe of gold...
He saw a weird creature, grazing nearby
She had a shiny fur and dark black eye.
She ate fruits and grass and nectar from flower
She also loved little insects and was called ant-eater!
The bandicoot fell in love, he thought; with her.
But he, was unaware how to tackle the matter.
He grunted and groaned. Made some sound.
She just turned a deaf ear as if an insect on the ground.
But she too felt something...very intense.
Something as bonding, which is not a pretense.
Finally both confided and showed their love.
But how two souls from different world together would evolve?
