Nothing was as important as us together

We knew we could not let go

All needed to be done 

Was to extinguish the ego.

We threw words as darts

Knowing they would pierce deep

Completely forgetting the essence

That our hearts were indeed the safe-keep.

Sitting so far

Looking at the same moon in the inky darkness

We were forgetting the affection

And warmth of our caress.

The miles between 

Stood as enemies again

Making us foes 

Infliction pain.

'No mending is impossible',

We resolved.

Stitch of love and knot of care

Would have all the differences dissolved!

We showed and love

Once again then

To emerge stronger together

Till the end.
