Clutter, stuff, things and all such 'words' are best left on the floor, or by the bedside, or sometimes, even in the closet when one attempts to 'clean the house' for the guests.
"Why does one make the bed, fold the sheets, if one has to sleep back into the same bed, making a new mess again, every night? "
"Why does one bother to fold the clothes if one has to wear them again after a few days?"
We do waste our time in seemingly counterproductive things, don't we?
Apart from the mundane necessities of tidying up, we all are in the midst of our own creative mess. Some choose to show it through material clutter, while some don't. An artist's palette is a clutter of colours to all but the artist. Our home, similarly, is a space in transition - or creative chaos and order.
Weekends are the days of undoubted order, while Fridays tend to point otherwise.
In this oscillation, changing of orders, transformations, etc etc... what we have is a nest of our own. With books, study corner, coffee break patio, the cook-room, PS4 game zone, relaxing area, we have an interactive space which in order is a 'house', but with our little things spread across, becomes a 'home'.
This nest has a space to cuddle, large open rooms to host guests (and throw plates), a petite garden to have quaint afternoons, and a big heart to accommodate us and the things we own...
Ideas lie handy. Think of something? stretch your arm, pick up the paper and doodle!
Beautiful clutter called home, is no museum. It doesn't have picture perfect lighting, marble floors or glass doors. What it kindles though, is an earthly spirit. Warm hues, nourishing hearth and cozy spaces.
This endearing nest, is our home.
